Knitting Courses
Enjoy two hours tuition a week over four weeks, giving you a chance to work at home and bring your ideas and problems back to the class. Classes are limited to 8 people and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Full payment is required when you sign-up. We need a minimum of six people for each class so get your friends to sign up with you! Course prices include refreshments and patterns, but not materials, which can be purchased on the day.

Beginners or those with rusty knitting needles both welcome! Get a solid foundation of knitting skills by learning how to cast on, knit, purl, cast off, increase, and decrease as you make a funky tea cosy or a table runner, designed by Libby Tomey. Following on from the success of the autumn course, here is another chance to add to your repertoire of knitting skills. Special throws, crossing and raised patterns will be demonstrated, and swatches knitted to practice these techniques. Completed your knitted garment, but bored or daunted by the sewing up? Bring your unfinished projects along for some helpful tips and advice. The course will cover darning, blocking, grafting, joining seams and fastenings.
Libby’s Lessons
A series of one hour lessons designed to impart a lot of knowledge with little time and cost. Each lesson covers a single topic. Bring your own materials or buy them here. Our goal is for you to learn the tips, tricks, and techniques that will make your knitting and crocheting time more relaxing and enjoyable. Book ahead to avoid disappointment as classes are limited to 8 people.
