  Knitting Kits
The kits include all needles, yarn and accessories needed to complete the item. Some kits include more than one pattern, and yarn for more than one item. Read the desciption carefully to find out the details. For projects where only a tiny amount of yarn is needed for decorative elements, such as flowers, then small amounts of yarn are included, rather than whole balls, which saves you a considerable amount of money. You can still buy the pattern only - just click on the pattern button on the drop down menu. if you order by post and include an SAE then there is no postage for patterns. If you order by paypal, then patterns will be sent by email. Post and packing is FREE for knitting kits.

  Freya's Easter Basket
The perfect gift for friends' kids at Easter time, or for little ones doing an Easter Egg hunt. The kit includes two balls of aran weight soft cotton yarn, Rowan All Seasons Cotton, in mustard and beige (enough to knit about 8 baskets altogether), 4mm and 7mm needles, and bound jewelry wire for the handles. The baskets are decorated with colourful miniature flowers in oddments of 4ply cotton yarn (all included in the kit). 10cm high x 6.5cm diameter.

A pretty bright and cheerful bag, perfect for presenting special gifts, or for little ones to take shopping. Adorned with miniature flowers and knitted in stocking stitch with a 4ply cotton yarn, the bag has a picot edge and measures 13cm x 13cm (not including the handle). The handle is 10cm long and is knitted on 4mm double pointed needles. All yarn and needles included.

The advanced knitter will enjoy knitting this most luxurious hot water bottle and socks set. Alpaca yarn is extremely hard wearing as well being as soft and as warm as pure cashmere. The kit includes five balls of RYC baby alpaca yarn to knit both the socks and the hot water bottle cover. It also includes 3.25mm and 4mm needles and a cable needle. You need to know how to cable and to do basic shaping techniques for the hot water bottle. More advanced knitting skills are needed for the socks, which are knitted on double pointed needles, and involve grafting to create a seamless sock for your ultimate comfort. Handwash only.

An eye-catching mix of ten vibrant and pastel shades in pure cotton yarn. In Rowan Handknit Cotton DK, this kit includes one ball of each colour, plus the pattern for the Amelia Bunting, Brooch, Bag, Cushion and Blanket so you can choose which one to knit and use the oddments to make one of the smaller projects. Simple and quick to knit, this hand knitted baby bottle warmer fits an 8 oz bottle, but experienced knitters can easily adjust the dimensions to suit. In Rowan Cashcotton DK: a cashmere and cotton mix yarn, which provides good insulation, and knitted in a ribbed stitch to maximise elasticity. Reversible (click on photo to see other side) with a concealed drawstring top and contrasting trim. Measures approx. 16cm diameter, stretching to 20cm if required; length is 12cm to base, again streching a little to fit. Machine washable. Four warmers to one 50g ball. The kit includes two balls of different colours, and another ball of the contrasting cotton yarn for the top.

Incredibly simple, but time-consuming to knit, this throw is nevertheless worth the trouble as it is so stunning and very soft and cosy. Knitted in Rowan Cotton Rope it uses 20 balls and 6mm needles. The finished blanket measures approx. 90cm x 145cm.

This tea cosy kit consists of 100g of Rowan Chunky Tweed yarn and 8mm needles. Some basic crochet skills are required as the base is made in double crochet, and the base is attached to the sides using crochet. Two oxhorn buttons are included in the kit to finish it off. The tea cosy fits a pot measuring 46cm diameter and 18cm high to top of lid. Handwash only.

Basic crochet skills are required for the edging, using a 2.5mm crochet hook. The tea cosy fits a pot for one and measures approx. 18cm x 13cm. The pattern uses 3.75mm and 5mm needles and you will need two buttons. Handwash only.

Sophie - a delicate flower in two contrasting shades of DK mohair on 4mm needles; Camilla - pointed tipped petals in stocking stitch in DK yarn on 4mm needles with a button centre; Ophelia - a minature flower in cotton 4ply on 3.25mm needles.

So soft and cosy, this hot water bottle cover uses two 100g balls of Rowan Pure Wool Aran yarn. It is knitted in three pieces in a simple moss stitch and Rib panelled design. the opening is at the back. Fits a standard hot water bottle. Machine washable.

A personal favourite, combining plain stocking stitch with a super chunky rib and a cable plait, fastening at the top with three chunky wooden buttons. Knitted in Rowan Scottish Tweed Chunky using 7mm, 8mm and a cable needle and 400g yarn (All included, as well as the buttons). Measures 40cmx40cm, and fits either a 35cm x 35cm cushion pad or a 40cm x 40cm cushion pad, depending on fit required.

Knitted in a yarn which is somewhere between aran and chunky (20 balls of Rowan Cotton Rope), with 6mm needles,and an all-over repeated lacey panel pattern. Measures approx. 124cm x 124cm. If you can't get hold of Cotton Rope, then the pattern would work in any cotton aran or chunky weight yarn, but the dimensions will end up slightly different.

Well, who can resist a little friend's request to knit her much-loved bear something to keep him warm? This pattern for a teddy's jumper uses 100g cream tweed DK yarn and oddments of Rowan felted tweed in wine, charcoal and blue for the fair isle panel. It is knitted with 4mm needles. The design includes raglan sleeves, and uses a circular needle for the neckband. Measurements: sleeve length 15cm, length from neck 16cm, chest 44cm. measure your bear before buying the pattern!
